Emirates is updating its entertainment repertoire in a collaboration with Spotify. Now, passengers would have the ability to dive into Spotify’s playlists and podcasts, directly through ice, the airline’s inflight entertainment system.
To meet travellers’ diverse needs, Spotify’s library on board will feature a wide range of podcasts covering topics like business, entertainment, and true crime, available in multiple languages, including English, Portuguese, and German. Moreover, more languages will come on board in 2025, starting with Hindi and Spanish. To regularly update their entertainment library, Emirates will keep adding new podcasts and music to their selection of onboard content.

“Emirates is proud to bring some of Spotify’s best podcasts and playlists to ice, continuing to provide a best-in-class inflight entertainment experience for all our customers,” said Patrick Brannelly, SVP of Inflight Entertainment & Connectivity Emirates.
Passengers will now be able to enjoy What Now? with Trevor Noah and tap into his conversations with celebrities. Additionally, those interested in sports and pop culture can tune in to The Bill Simmons Podcast. The podcast has featured famous names such as Tom Hanks and Adam Sandler. Other interesting options to explore are Case 63, recognized for its immersive storytelling, and The Journal, an audio show for business and money, developed by Spotify and The Wall Street Journal.
The airline seeks to offer a customized journey for everyone. Therefore, they are now featuring Top Spotify playlist in the form of mixtapes. People interested in music on board will be able to choose from Emirates’ selection, including the RapCaviar Mixtape, which offers the latest hip-hop hits, and the Viva Latino Mixtape, perfect for immersing in the beats of Latin music. But this is not all. The Jazz Classics Mixtape lets listeners enjoy the finest jazz melodies, and the Arabic Classics Mixtape showcases timeless Arabic songs, offering something for anyone on board.
Spotify is the latest addition to Emirates’ multi award-winning inflight entertainment system ice. With more than 6,500 channels of on-demand entertainment in more than 40 languages – there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
