Delta Air Lines has opened its eighth lounge at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, also known as the world’s busiest aviation hub. The newly opened space focuses on the famous southern hospitality and its size is equivalent to about a third of the White House’s floor space.
The new Sky Delta Club lounge is located at Concourse D-Center Point near Gate D18 at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and is the second-largest Delta lounge at the airport. It has been under construction for three years and it is the first new Sky Club that Delta has opened in Atlanta in nearly a decade, surprising given the fact that the airport functions as Delta Air Lines’ headquarters and biggest hub.

“As the heart of our operation, Atlanta is more than just a hub—it’s our home. This new space is thoughtfully designed to ensure that guests traveling through Atlanta feel the Southern hospitality of the city we know and love. The opening of our newest Delta Sky Club in Atlanta – during what happens to be both Delta and ATL’s Centennial year – is a testament to our unwavering commitment to this city and the customers we serve here,” said Claude Roussel, V.P. of Delta Sky Club and Lounge Experience.
The lounge offers a number of possibilities to flyers; there is space for 506 guests, the bar seats 16, a theatre-style media wall offers entertainment, and the soundproofed telephone booths are perfect for business travellers. Part of the lounge also offers panoramic views over the airport for those who like to spot planes, while a large food buffet and two beverage stations will prevent travellers from going hungry or thirsty.

As far as the layout of the space goes, the lounge spans over 2,276 square meters, approximately the size of a football field or a third of the White House. The design reminds travellers of Atlanta’s hospitality by using bricks, shutter screens, and coffered ceilings. A mural by local artist Ryan Coleman refers to Atlanta’s nickname, ‘City in a Forest’.
The new Sky Club has the same access policy as other Delta lounges, meaning travellers in long-haul premium cabins, those with Sky Club memberships, and select credit card holders can use the lounge.

More opening scheduled for 2025
The lounge at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport won’t be Delta Air Lines’ sole opening of the year. According to the airline Delta will open a Delta One Lounge and new Delta Sky Club in Seattle on Concourse A and Salt Lake City will be welcoming its second Club on Concourse B. The Delta Sky Club at Philadelphia International Airport will be expanded in late 2025, with Denver to follow in 2026.
