After 20 years of collaboration, Jacob & Co. and Cristiano Ronaldo have developed a watch collection symbolising the footballer’s success. CR7, the footballer’s venture into the fashion industry, thus gave its name to two watch models, each in different editions.
“I’ve always dreamed of having my own watch collection. Jacob & Co. Flight of CR7 and Heart of CR7 are inspired by some of my most iconic moments on the field. I hope you like them as much as I do,” Ronaldo wrote on Instagram.
The most famous piece of the collaboration is undoubtedly the Twin Turbo Furious Baguette, a unique design designed for Ronaldo by founder Jacob Arabo himself and valued at $1,3 million.
However, the public can only buy the Flight of CR7 and Heart of CR7. Both models are based on Jacob & Co.’s Epic X, featuring a 44 mm case with X-shaped lugs, a smooth and polished or diamond-set bezel and a coloured crown and flange. Its two vertical pillars form the central part of the X shape initiated by the lugs, whose entire design gave the name Epic X.
For the collaboration with CR7, the two pillars are designed to represent Cristiano Ronaldo and the CR7 brand. The left pillar takes on the shape of Cristiano Ronaldo in various postures, while the right one bears the CR7 logo and Ronaldo’s hand signature. The skeleton barrel cover is shaped like a football. Another image of Cristiano Ronaldo wearing his iconic lucky number 7 jersey is gold-printed on the caseback’s coloured sapphire crystal.
The Flight of CR7 comes in rose gold, baguette, and pave edition. The Heart of CR7 will be available in stainless steel baguette and pave. All of the watches are limited edition, with 100 to 999 pieces available per edition. Prices start at 26.000€ and go all the way up to 146.000€ per watch.
