Supermodels are usually famous for their looks. Even though Cara Delevingne became famous with the bigger public because of her magnificent brows, the British celebrity definitely has more to offer than just her looks. As to prove that point once again, she now launched a new kind of prosecco. And it is not just her – for the occasion, she joined forces with her two sisters, Poppy and Chloe. It is the first time that the three Delevingne-sisters worked together on a project and it looks like it is a successful one too.
First things first. Although the prosecco launched by the three siblings is definitely a step outside of their comfort zone, they are not the first celebs to get into the booze-business. People like Michael Jordan, Cameron Diaz and Nick Jonas previously showed them how it is done. But it looks like the Delevingne-clan is doing things in their own way, with sustainability being a big part of the launch.
1. Sustainability
“Placing sustainability first and using agricultural methods that don’t rely heavily on industry is at the core of Della Vite’s values. We spent four months looking for the perfect winery to align with our vision and are so proud to have created two exceptional Proseccos that are both sustainably produced and 100 per cent certified vegan,” Cara Delevingne said about the drink. The winery they chose to work with is that of the Biassiotto family, who own the sustainably focused Foss Marai estate in Valdobbiadene. Della Vite, is the Delevingne-prosecco is called, is made from hand-picked Glera grapes from 40-year-old vines in Valdobbiadene and fermented with natural yeasts. There are actually two different types of prosecco available: the Della Vita Superiore DOCG (£25) and the Della Vite Treviso Prosecco DOC (£20).
2. Intimate festivities
Prosecco is a drink we usually associate with the festive period at the end of the year. Think: lots of people, lots of fun, lots of booze. It goes without saying that we will not see any of those people-crammed parties in 2020 – thank Covid-19 for that. Yet that does not mean that you cannot pop a bottle with your housemates or your partner. An important detail which the Delevingne-sisters wish to emphasize. “Finding opportunities to celebrate is more important now than ever. The little things in life – just meeting up with family after a long time apart – are now the big things. Della Vite is delicious and versatile enough to mark any occasion”, as they are stating on the website. Cheers to that!
