When it comes to Brussels institutions, you could of course talk about Manneken Pis or the Atomium, but for many inhabitants of the Belgian Capital, Madame Moustache is definitely a fierce competitor. The night club had been a meeting point for Brusseleirs of all genders and ages since its opening in 2010 but then, it was fatally hit by a fire in September 2022 and it was unclear what was going to happen to the famous bar. Until now, because Madame Moustache will rise from the dead for one Halloween night next week.
Set on the Quai au Bois à Brûler in the epicentre of Brussels, Madame Moustache had been a favourite of both locals and tourists for a long time. Whether you went by for an apéritif at sunset or a never-ending night filled with dancing, you were always guaranteed to have a great time. Therefore, when the bar shut its doors for an undetermined time, many were sad to see the Brussels institution go.
If you too are one of those people though, you could have the time of your life next Tuesday, October 31th. For one night, Bar Moustache will reopen, albeit not on the location many know so well. The long-awaited Halloween party will instead take place at The Viage, located on the sixth floor of 30 Boulevard Anspach in Brussels. But what to expect?
“Burlesque, circus artists, accessories, a make-up artist, games of chance to get access to secret rooms, a fortune teller and many other surprises. A musical and visual ambiance that will leave you speechless, cocktails in theme and all kinds of surprises. And if you come disguised, you’ll get a free shot. Are you ready to dance with the devil?”, reveals ticket website Fever.
Resident DJ’s from Madame Moustache will be providing music all night long and there’s no doubt the well-known ambiance of the bar will relive for a night – while waiting for the reopening which is scheduled for September 2024 at this moment. More events are set to take place at The Viage in the meantime so make sure to follow Madame Moustache to be kept up to date.
Pre-sale tickets are available online for 18 euros or you can buy a ticket on location for 22 euros. The evening is accessible only if you’re over 18 so those who aren’t will have to wait a little longer to get a taste of Madame Moustache.
