On Friday March 17th, the Benfica Foundation and FLH Hotels from the Feelslikehome group signed a partnership that will allow the revitalization of the building of the former headquarters of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, on Rua Jardim do Regedor.
It is a historical building that was donated by the Club to the Benfica Foundation in order to guarantee adequate assets for the fulfillment of its mission, in Portugal and in the World.
The present project to transform the property into a hotel, the 1904 Benfica Hotel, will ensure the reuse of this symbolic space having as its concept, the History of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, will invoke the collective memory of the Club’s members and supporters in relation to its former headquarters.
The lease agreement that links the two institutions will also be a valuable contribution to the redesign of this area in downtown Lisbon.
Present at the signing of the agreement were Rui Costa, President of Sport Lisboa e Benfica and the Benfica Foundation; Carlos Moia, Executive President of the Benfica Foundation; António Quintão and Miguel Rodrigues, partners of FLH Hotels.
