Travelling by train is a beautiful way to get somewhere at a fairly high speed while still seeing some of your surroundings, contrary to when you travel by plane. Moreover, it’s one of the most sustainable ways of getting around. Yet when you take the same train line quite frequently, boredom can be just around the corner. You forget to pack your phone charger of a book and all of a sudden, you’re stuck for a couple of hours without anything to pass the time. Unless… you’d be able to participate in an escape game, of course. Soon, on a high speed train between Paris and Lyon, that’s exactly what will be happening.
On November 14th, to be precise, two wagons of the train travelling between Paris and Lyon will be the scene of a never before seen escape game at high speed. The experience will be called “Frecciarossa Escape : l’échappée italienne’” named after the model of train, operated by the Italian railway company Trenitalia. Together with escape game company Prizoners, they’ve put together an experience that those who get to play it won’t soon forget.
The game will be split into two parts, each lasting for two hours: one on the journey from Paris to Lyon, another one on the way back. Participants will have access to two train wagons during a game in which they’ll have to resolve the theft of a famous painting. One question is essential: who did it? Through enigmas and mysteries, the culprit can be found. Professional actors will be aboard the train, enhancing the immersive experience even more. And of course, during those two hours of game, the participants will be able to discover all services aboard the train.
If you think you would be able to resolve the mystery, it’s not to late to try and win your ticket for the once-in-a-lifetime train-ride. On the Instagram page of Trenitalia France, those interested can try to win their ticket until November 7th. All you have to do is like the post, follow Trenitalia France and tag a friend in the comments. One thing is clear, there will be no need for a smartphone or book to make your train journey interesting this time.
