Ahead of its first sailing in the autumn of 2025, four new spaces have been unveiled aboard the Celebrity Xcel, set to be Celebrity Cruises’ latest vessel. Added features include an all-day pool club and the first flagship store.
Overall, Celebrity Cruises’ newest Edge class ship will include seven brand new features upon its maiden voyage in November. Previously, the cruise company already announced a performance space called The Bazaar and a Mediterranean al fresco restaurant, Bora, while one space will be kept a secret until the ship’s first sailing. Now, the four remaining new spaces aboard the Celebrity Xcel have been unveiled.
“Celebrity Xcel will set sail with seven new elevated experiences that invite guests to escape their daily routine and make memories that will last a lifetime. With so much innovation at every turn, the journey will be just as fun as the destinations themselves,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises.
Four novel experiences
Firstly, the Celebrity Pool Club will offer all-day, all-night poolside experiences. The pool valet will have poolside chilled towels, card games, sunscreen, storage for personal items, and a contemporary rooftop design offering increased shading. A special VIP service will be available to those who are looking for private cabanas with dedicated service. On the last sea day of each Caribbean itinerary, Celebrity Pool Club will transform into the Poolest Day Ever, an all-day takeover bringing island vibes with Caribbean-inspired live music and DJ-spun favourites, pop-up shows, and friendly pool games.

Celebrity Xcel will also introduce an all-day, all-night games room with neon lights, called Attic at The Club. The lounge will be adult-oriented and open 24/7. Guests will be able to play retro games like Pac-Man, NBA Showtime, and Golden Tee, as well as other activities including pool, darts, foosball, and shuffleboard.

The ship will host Celebrity’s most expansive spa yet. The Spa will feature Celebrity’s first-ever Hydra Room, the newest of eight therapeutic experiences in the Thermal Suite, inviting guests to indulge in a water-focused wellness experience, designed to rejuvenate both body and mind. A bubbling pool with massaging jets and heated lounge chairs will offer a muscle relaxation experience, while The Spa’s new outdoor Vitamin D Deck will offer sweeping views over the ocean from the front of the ship. Over 120 treatments and therapies and an interactive shopping experience will be available onboard.

Lastly, the new Celebrity Flagship store offers a unique retail experience, doubling as an interactive exhibit celebrating all things Celebrity. Guests can engage with the vacation brand on interactive screens with trivia questions and will be able to take home a memento that reminds them of their voyage. A wide number of items will be customisable.

Celebrity Xcel is sailing her inaugural season starting from November from Fort Lauderdale. Seven-night itineraries will be alternating between The Bahamas, Mexico, the Cayman Islands, Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten. In the summer of 2026, Celebrity Xcel will set sail on her inaugural European cruise. Here, guests can immerse themselves in the Mediterranean on seven-to 11-night journeys out of Barcelona and Athens.
