With only a few days to go until Christmas, things are getting real out there. Those of you who still haven’t done your Christmas shopping and have to go into town will soon know you’re not the only last-minute shopper, alas. Even if you go early in the morning in an effort to avoid the crowds, chances are, you’ll have to queue for more than 10 minutes a shop anyway – and that’s if you’re lucky and shopping at the less-popular places.
Probably that at some point, when you’re hopelessly waiting for the person in front of you to hurry up and hoping that they don’t want a gift packaging – oh wait, of course they do – you’ll once again promise yourself that next year, you’ll be better. You’ll be prepared and have your Christmas gifts ready before the beginning of December. Yes, that’s what you said last year as well, but this time you’ll really stick to that plan. Until it’s December once again and you still have all the shopping left to do. Oh well, some things will never change.
And as far as a lot of people go, doing some last-minute shopping isn’t even that hard. Many of us are happy with pretty much anything or we’ll at least act as if we were. But then we all have that one friend who’s got everything already and who’s therefore impossible to buy for. On top of that, they’re not very good at faking their enthusiasm when they’re disappointed with a gift so that means things can get awkward pretty quickly. They’re the one person you dread buying for and especially when you’re under time pressure, you may lose all hope and start to accept the fact that this year, you’ve failed.
Or have you? Because yes, there’s still a little bit of time left and yes, we’ve got your back. We searched the internet for the very best bits and pieces which will surprise even the hardest people to buy for. Things that are either quite new and therefore innovating, or just such a staple that you can’t not be happy with them. So here you go, 5 last-minute gift for the person who already has everything.
1. A qualitative bedding set
Who doesn’t want to feel like they’re sleeping in a hotel bed 24/7? Right, nobody. That’s why the duvet cover sets from Crisp Sheets are so great. They come in a wide variety of colorways and compositions but they’ve got two things in common: they’re heavenly soft and will last for a very long time. Looking for something smaller but equally nice? A set of pillow cases is also a great idea.
Prices start from 69,95 euros and go all the way up to 239,95 euros.
2. A sparkling water machine
If you like sparkling water, you’ll know what a fuss it can be to time and time again go to the store and carry home all those heavy bottles. On top of that, it’s not exactly very eco-conscious, especially if you opt for plastic bottles. That’s where a sparkling water machine comes in handy – you buy the machine ones and then you get the refillable gas bottles to make your own sparkling water. Genius. There are many of these on the market these days, but the MySoda Woody is a great option if you’re looking for something esthetically pleasing but not too expensive either.
The MySoda Woody costs 79,90 euros, with one gas bottle included and it comes in different colors.
3. Vegan milk maker
Cow’s milk is just so 2021, isn’t it? This year, everyone seems to have jumped on the vegan milk alternative bandwagon as we’re drinking everything from almond to rice milk. But those can be quite expensive to make and can contain quite a lot of additives you don’t necessarily want. That’s where the vegan milk maker comes in handy. You buy the main ingredient, you add some water and maybe some other stuff to taste and the machine does the rest. There are a couple of different models on the market but this one by CREATE seems great.
The CREATE vegan milk maker costs 199,95 euros, although there are often promotions making it a little cheaper.
4. Modern stained glass to measure
Seems a bit weird, but hear us out. Have you got friends who are renovating their magical vintage home? And are they always looking to add personal touches? Than a specially-made stained glass detail or window could be the perfect gift. Of course you can’t decide on a design yourself but you could offer them a makeshift gift card for a piece of art by Kras Glas. We’re sure your interior-loving friend will appreciate.
Price on demand.
5. A zero waste coffee machine with pads
If the person you’re buying for loves coffee but does enjoy the practicality of coffee pads, the new Coffee B machine is the perfect fit. You feed it with special zero waste pads, little coffee balls as it were which can than go in the composting bin. Quite ingenious and perfect for the lazy coffee lover – or at work, if the coffee there’s just too awful.
Coffee B’s Globe machine costs 179,00 euros.
