A new hotel has set a record as the world’s tallest, in Dubai. Opening under the IHG Vignette banner, the Ciel Dubai Marina stands 377 metres above the city, boasting 82 floors, a 61st-floor spa, and a 76th-floor sky pool – one of the world’s highest infinity pool experiences.
Situated minutes from Palm Jumeirah and Uptown Dubai, near iconic landmarks such as The Walk and Ain Dubai, the world’s tallest observation wheel, the hotel also provides direct access to the marina boardwalk with its water taxis, as well as convenient connections to Dubai Marina Mall and the city’s tram and metro services.
The Vignette Collection aims to offer “one-of-a-kind stays in destinations to remember,” a press release noted, describing the new hotel as an “architectural marvel.” Built by The First Group, it is an “expression of contrasts – east meets west, city meets state, scale meets intimacy,” the statement continued.

What’s more, through “A Means for Good”, each Vignette Collection hotel partners with a chosen non-profit organisation. Ciel Dubai Marina has chosen to “nurture future talent” through a strategic partnership with the International Centre for Culinary Arts (ICCA), training and developing the next generation of culinary professionals. Monthly training workshops will be run by the hotel’s team, widening career opportunities to aspiring chefs.
The dining sector is represented in the hotel by East 13 and West 13, offering Asian and Mediterranean food respectively, as well as Risen – a local, all-day café and bakery concept. On the 74th floor, the UK-born Asian restaurant concept Tattu has opened a multi-level dining room, said to blend “ancient mythology, modern mastery and contemporary Chinese and Japanese cuisine.”

Meanwhile, two floors above, the Tattu Sky Pool proposes “plush daybeds, Japanese-fusion bites and an energy that evolves from daytime relaxation to sunset DJ sets.” And on floor 81, described as “the crescendo of the Tattu Dubai experience”, the Sky Lounge and Terrace will offer music, cocktails, and “breathtaking Heinrich Morio, Managing Director of Ciel Dubai Marina 360° views.”
For business travellers and Executive Club guests, Nest, on Level 16, offers refreshments, skyline views, and stylish meeting spaces equipped with cutting-edge technology and personalised service.

In a statement, Heinrich Morio, Managing Director of Ciel Dubai Marina, has hailed the project as “a visionary landmark that redefines innovation, luxury, and creativity at every level,” adding that the hotel “reflects Dubai’s status as a global destination for tourism and business, offering an experience that is as elevated as it is unforgettable.”
