Walt Disney World’s Hall of Presidents in Magic Kingdom reopened on June 29, 2025, after closing on January 20 for updates following the 2024 presidential election. The popular attraction, known for its educational multimedia and animatronic stage show, draws crowds during election seasons due to its focus on U.S. history and its 47 presidencies.
After Donald Trump’s 2024 re-election, speculation swirled about whether his animatronic would be replaced or revamped. In 2017 visitors was pointed out that the figure representing him in The Hall of Presidents did not accurately present the real-life Trump. In fact many noted that the face bore resemblance Hillary Clinton, who was Trump’s competitor in the presidential race in 2016.
Disney has not confirmed whether the 2025 animatronic is a new creation or a modified version of the original, though subtle adjustments were noted when a less detailed figure was repositioned in the show during his first term. Disney’s silence on the figure’s design has fueled curiosity, especially given the attraction’s role in reflecting current political moments.
Stuff of nightmares. After a 6 month closure, the Hall of Presidents reopens at Walt Disney World with a new “more realistic” President Trump audio animatronic figure, featured in a new speaking role. He recites the oath of office, which is odd because it’s something he ignores. pic.twitter.com/LLTBowYEwN

On Disney’s website, the attraction is open to visitors from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Disney World has still not made any official statements.
More than just rollercoasters and character greetings, Walt Disney World’s “Hall of Presidents” offers park visitors an educational multimedia and stage show about the founding of the U.S. and its presidents – from George Washington to Donald Trump in his second term. According to Disney’s official guest resource, Plan Disney, the creation process involves multiple model stages and a recorded interview with the sitting president, ensuring their authentic voice is featured.
According to Plan Disney, it takes approximately a year after a presidential election to create a new animatronic for the Hall of Presidents. For instance, the animatronic for the 45th president was unveiled in December 2017, following the 2016 election and the animatronic for the 46th president was added in August 2021. Given this timeline, the animatronic for the current president, who took office in January 2025, would likely be introduced around late 2025.

“There are many steps involved including several levels of models as well as an interview with the actual president. So, the voice you hear in the attraction will be the president’s real voice,” Plan Disney stated.
Since it first opened, nine new presidents have been added to the show: Gerald F. Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Donald Trump, and Joe Biden.
