Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced plans to open two new hotels in Jaumur, a luxury marina located in Magna on the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba in Saudi Arabia’s NEOM. Park Hyatt Jaumur and Andaz Jaumur Marina are meant to solidify their strategic collaboration with the country’s futuristic desert city development.
“We are delighted to bring the Park Hyatt and Andaz brands to Jaumur, part of NEOM’s regional sustainable tourism portfolio, and further enhance the tourism landscape in NEOM. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a key market in Hyatt’s growth strategy in the Middle East, and these upcoming properties in NEOM reflect our dedication to expanding our brand footprint,” said Javier Águila, Hyatt group president for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The Park Hyatt Jaumur and Andaz Jaumur Marina are meant to open in 2027 and will both cater to the luxury traveller. While Park Hyatt Jaumur will be designed as an oasis of relaxation, the Andaz Jaumur Marina should become a celebration of art and creativity.
Jaumur is meant to become a destination offering a blend of land and sea experiences, all centred around a luxurious way of living. It will be part of NEOM’s larger Magna region, a new development including twelve destinations along 120 kilometers of coastline. Entertainment, leisure and cultural experiences will be available, as well as a deep-sea diving research center and a 300-berth marina.
“Jaumur is a masterpiece marina community where innovation, learning, and luxury convene. Park Hyatt Jaumur and Andaz Jaumur Marina will embody our desire to redefine coastal luxury for a new generation, grounded in awe-inspiring design and cutting-edge technology that will integrate with the stunning natural environment, these hotels will cater to our visitors’ every need”, explained Jeremy Lester, Executive Director at Magna.
Apart from expansion, Hyatt is also focusing on bringing innovative solutions to the tourism industry. In the future, this will without a doubt also include Artificial Intelligence. “AI will contribute to a lot of our focus on customer service and how we operate our hotels. So I think there are going to be a lot of changes in the future and it’s something that we embrace but embrace with recognition, that this will take time as it evolves and will need to be treated very, very carefully,” Stephen Ansell, managing director for the Middle East and Africa at Hyatt, told Arab News.
With a combined total of 350 luxurious rooms and suites, they are a great expansion of Hyatt’s portfolio in Saudi Arabia, though it is just a start. Ansell said the company aims for another future 3,000 rooms in the country.
