Cologne (Köln in German) is the largest and the most populous city on the Rhine. The city is located in Germany, in the Rhine-Ruhr Metropolitan Region. I visited this nice city for the first time one year ago. To reach Cologne by train, it takes less than 2 hours from Brussels. Before going to Cologne, I didn’t know anything about it.
I want to show you what it is possible to visit in one day. This was my bucket list: Cologne’s Cathedral, Cologne’s Old Town, Rhine River Cruises, the Altenberg Cathedral, Colourful typical houses of the Fischmarkt in the old town center, and the famous building where it is possible to take a photo of Cologne’s “Köln Triangle” from the top.
Cologne is a really nice city to visit. You will enjoy its architecture, but also really good restaurants that offer the famous one-liter glass of German beer.
