Buckingham Palace is preparing to mark a new festive milestone this year with the opening of its first-ever Christmas pop-up shop. For the first time in history, the Royal Mews – part of the working stables of the palace – will be transformed into a seasonal boutique offering gifts, decorations and food and drink, welcoming the public from 14 November 2025 until 5 January 2026.
The shop will be run by the Royal Collection Trust, the charity responsible for caring for and conserving the royal family’s extensive art collection, and all profits will go towards supporting this work.

The pop-up will showcase a wide range of products inspired by Britain’s royal heritage. Visitors will find gin infused with botanicals grown on the grounds of royal residences, including Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, alongside homeware inspired by the historic Great Kitchen at Windsor Castle, which remains one of the oldest working kitchens in the country. On shelves, visitors might also spot crystal wine glasses with a delicate pattern of knotted vines and grape leaves, a design inspired by Queen Victoria’s Grand Punch Bowl, a wine cistern that she had used. For those looking for festive décor, a selection of handcrafted Christmas tree ornaments from India will be on display, depicting palace guards, royal animals, crown jewels and seasonal symbols.

The Royal Mews pop-up promises its guests the ultimate festive shopping experience. Alongside the charming ornaments and elegant home accessories, the boutique will be stocked with a wider array of gifts to suit every type of Christmas list. Shoppers can expect shelves lined with gourmet delicacies and seasonal tipples, alongside exclusive Royal Collection pieces that bring a touch of palatial flair to everyday living.

The range of items will be available online or through the permanent Royal Collection Trust Shops in London, Edinburgh and Windsor. The opening of the pop-up will give visitors a rare opportunity to step inside the Royal Mews during the winter months, as the stables usually close to the public at this time of year.
Entry to the Buckingham Palace Christmas Shop will be free and does not require advance booking, making it an accessible experience for Londoners and visitors alike. The Royal Mews can be found on Buckingham Palace Road, London SW1W 0QH, and is within easy walking distance of Victoria, Green Park and St. James’s Park Underground stations. Set against its historic backdrop and filled with a handpicked selection, the shop promises to be one of London’s iconic winter destinations, combining royal history with Christmas tradition in the heart of the capital. A perfect place to soak up the festive spirit and enjoy a memorable holiday shopping experience.
