Fancy a novel way of dining out, combining a gourmet meal with views of the sights of the “capital of Europe”? If so, the Tram Experience in Brussels could be just the ticket.
The Tram Experience is a unique rolling gourmet restaurant housed inside a specially converted STIB-MIVB tram. Diners enjoy a multi-course meal while travelling through the boulevards and neighbourhoods of southern and eastern Brussels, including areas such as Louise, Merode and the Tram Museum.
Menus are designed by renowned Belgian chefs, including Michelin-starred names, offering high-end interpretations of Belgian cuisine, with dishes prepared and served on board.
A new season of the Tram Experience begins on Friday, 28 August, with menus created by some of the biggest names in Belgian gastronomy.
Among them are rising chef David-Alexandre Bruno of Quartz and Michelin-starred chefs Olly Ceulenaere of Publiek and Ricarda Grommes of Quadras.
The season will also mark the 100th anniversary of Comme Chez Soi, with three generations of chefs associated with the iconic Brussels restaurant joining forces to create a special celebratory menu.
Young Brussels talent opens the season
David-Alexandre Bruno, from Brussels, will open the new season.
At the helm of Quartz restaurant in Ixelles, Bruno combines technical precision with elegance, an approach that earned him the title of Young Chef of the Year 2026 for Brussels in the latest edition of the Gault & Millau guide.
His menu will be served on board the tram until 11 October.
Other renowned chefs will take over later in the season. Olly Ceulenaere, from Michelin-starred Ghent restaurant Publiek, will design the menu served from 2 February to 21 March.
Known for his creative yet unpretentious approach to gastronomy, Ceulenaere will then hand over to Ricarda Grommes, head chef at Michelin-starred Quadras in Saint-Vith.
From 23 March to 9 May, Grommes will offer cuisine inspired by a wide range of culinary influences and characterised by her creative approach.

100 years of Comme Chez Soi
December and January will meanwhile be dedicated to the centenary of Comme Chez Soi.
A true institution on the Brussels gastronomic scene, the restaurant on Place Rouppe has held Michelin stars continuously for more than 70 years.
To celebrate its 100th anniversary, Pierre Wynants, the “godfather” of Belgian gastronomy, will join forces with his son-in-law and current head chef, Lionel Rigolet, and his grandson and future head chef, Loïc Rigolet, to create a special festive menu.
New lunch option for private groups
The Tram Experience serves around 8,500 guests every year and, building on the concept’s popularity, a new lunch option is being introduced this season.
In addition to the six- and seven-course dinner menus, a four-course lunch menu will now be available on weekdays. The option is exclusively available to large groups booking the entire tram for private use.
The menus are prepared on board by Thibault Granville of Taste Great and his team.

“A trip aboard the Tram Experience is an unforgettable culinary experience,” a spokesperson said.
“Whether as a couple, a group of four or a larger party, guests savour a menu created by a renowned chef whilst touring the capital’s most beautiful neighbourhoods.
