Tailoring the perfect out and about day in Brussels just got a lot easier. For residents and tourists alike, the city has just launched a one-stop online ticket platform for all cultural and tourist activities available in the Belgian capital.
Currently, the new website lists concerts, performances, museums, exhibitions, guided tours, attractions, along with family and leisure activities. Clubbing and nightlife options will soon be incorporated as well, to round up a day of discovering Brussels at its best.
From the overview, users refine the activities they are interested in based on genre, date or period and neighbourhood. Then, it is easy to add one or multiple tickets in the virtual shopping cart. Thanks to all the offerings incorporated on just one platform, tickets to multiple events or activities can be added in the basket at once, sparing users from having to go through multiple websites, at no additional cost than purchasing directly from the provider of the activity.
Funded through the European Fund for Regional Development, the online catalogue is an initiative of Visit Brussels, the tourism office of the city, which promotes cultural and tourist offerings in the Brussels-Capital Region. Visit Brussels found that both locals and visitors welcome an online reservation catalogue. Therefore, thanks to the platform, the Brussels listings can reach users with more ease.
Besides making it easier to plan what you’re going to do next weekend, the main goal of the platform is to increase accessibility of culture and leisure activities, bringing them closer to as many people as possible. Consequently, the Ticketing Brussels will feature daily offers of last-minute tickets to events such as shows, concerts, movies and many others. The daily sales start at 12:30 pm and last until 5:30 pm and can offer tickets up to 50% off.
On the other hand, organisers, hosts and providers of cultural and tourist activities can access the system through their own software to manage ticket sales and bookings. Since Visit Brussels, the main web hub on which Ticketing Brussels is now featured, reaches millions of people each year, listing an event in the new online catalogues will provide additional visibility thus boosting sales for organisers. A win-win for everybody.
