Video footage of a woman trying to force her way into the cockpit on an American Airlines flight to New York City has been circulating on the internet. In the clip, crew members can be seen knocking the first class passenger to the floor in order to restrain her.
On 24 April 2025, an incident happened on the American Airlines flight AA950 from Brazil’s Sao Paulo airport to JFK in New York. One of the passengers aboard the plane was able to film what happened and posted the footage online afterwards.
In the video clip, a female first class passenger starts to confront the flight attendant while trying to make her way into the cockpit. While the door to the cockpit is wide open, flight personnel is trying to shut the door and one of the crew members can be heard shouting: “Get out, get out!”

As the argument continues, one of the crew members eventually knocks the passenger to the ground while another flight attendant restrains her. The woman is then accompanied back to her seat in first class. However, another passenger stands up next and starts shouting at the woman, resulting in a heated argument. He is then calmed down by crew members and asked to take back his seat.
“On Thursday, 24th April, American Airlines Flight 950, operating from Sao Paulo (GRU) to New York (JFK), returned to the boarding gate prior to departure due to a safety problem on board. The safety of our customers and employees is our top priority and we thank everyone for their understanding. The aircraft was received by police officers. The flight took off again at 12:55 a.m. local time. The Conditions of Transportation of American Airlines have been designed to ensure the safety and well-being of all who travel with us, including our customers and employees,” the statement concluded,” American Airlines said in a statement.
According to local media, the reason why the female passenger tried to enter the cockpit in the first place was because she wanted to complain about he late takeoff time. However, following the incident with both passengers, the plane was forced to return to the boarding gate in order to deliver them to the police. According to the FlightAware tracking website, this resulted in a delay of more than two hours for all other passengers aboard.
