Tour and travel operator Bare Necessities is teaming up with Norwegian Cruise Line in order to offer travellers a “once in a lifetime experience”. In February 2025, nude enthusiasts will be able to board The Big Nude Boat for an 11-day voyage from Miami to the Caribbean.
The voyage, which will take place aboard the 295-metre Norwegian Pearl, will halt in destinations such as The Bahamas, Puerto Rico and St. Maarten. Cabin prices (based on double occupancy) will start at around 2,000 dollars and go all the way up to 33,155 dollars for a three-bedroom villa. With a passenger capacity of 2,300, some of the Norwegian Pearl’s specialties include a large buffet area for nude outdoor dining.
As far as off-boat activities go, the cruise has a lot to offer as well. “Unwind on white-sand beaches and explore the many ways to enjoy Norwegian Cruise Line’s private island. Snorkel with sea turtles and colourful fish in warm turquoise waters. Peacefully glide along the coastline in a kayak, or soar high into the sky as you zip-line across the island. Craft your own delicious beach barbecue lunch at the complimentary Abaco Taco or Jumbey Grill while sipping on a refreshing drink. Rent a private villa at the Silver Cove or swim with the pigs of Treasure Island. Do it all–or nothing at all–the choice is yours”, the cruise’s description details.
Even though passengers won’t have to pack a lot of clothes, one shouldn’t expect to go full-on nude for the whole duration of the cruise. For example, travellers will have to be clothed when inside the dining rooms and they will have to put down a towel in the stateroom, on the pool deck and buffet area. Lingerie and so-called “fetish wear” are prohibited and so is taking photos or videos of other cruisers without their consent. “Fondling or inappropriate touching” is also prohibited and when the ship lies in the port, passengers can’t show themselves naked in front of other ships.

The Big Nude Boat will leave Miami on 3 February and return on 14 February 2025. Bare Necessities has already organised more than 75 other nude cruises.
