On January 3 we celebrate International Mind-Body Wellness Day, a day that is dedicated to the importance of our mental well being and how this affects our physical wellbeing, both of which have been much tested this past year.
1. Mind and Body
International Mind-Body Wellness Day is an opportunity to celebrate how a healthy mind and healthy emotions help to maintain a healthy body. The connection between our mind and our body is often underrated, but it plays an integral role in our overall health and well-being. Our emotions, purpose, spirituality, experiences, goals, beliefs, habits and actions all have an important impact on mind-body harmony and overall health.
2. The best you
In order to be the best version of yourself, you need to take care of both your mind and your body, and celebrating International Mind-Body Wellness Day in January helps to remind us of that whilst we prepare for a New Year. It is a time to reflect on the how we think, feel and live our daily lives, and to try to make any changes that we think could be beneficial to us. Take a moment to reset, it’s been a difficult year and we need to understand that, appreciate the effects it may have had on both our mind and body, and make an effort to care for both as we go into a New Year.
