A tragic incident in Hong Kong has claimed the life of a 30-year-old French daredevil, identified as Remi Lucidi, popular for posting photographs and videos on social media of his daring stunts on tall structures worldwide.
The man, with a significant following under the moniker “Remi Enigma”, died after falling from the top of the third and highest of the Tregunter Tower complex, a 68-floor high-rise building in the city’s Mid-Levels area. This was once the tallest all-residential building in the world.

The lack of a suicide note at the scene and his history of engaging in extreme sports lead police to believe that he fell from a ledge during a stunt attempt.
According to local media reports, Remi had initially entered the apartment block on the evening of July 28th by claiming he was visiting a friend on the 40th floor. However, he took the elevator to the 49th floor and then accessed the staircase to reach the top floor of the building.
Once on the top floor, at around 7:30pm, local time, he attempted to gain entry to a penthouse apartment on the 68th floor, knocking on its window and seeking assistance. However, the housekeeper inside was suspicious of the man outside and chose not to respond, so Remi eventually moved away.
Shortly afterwards, authorities received a call from the Tower’s security about a gas leak, but they arrived at the scene to find the lifeless body of the 30-year-old man whose fall had damaged a gas pipe. His French identification card and his sport camera, containing older videos of extreme sports, were reportedly found at the scene.
Remi’s passion for extreme sports and adventure was well-documented on his social media accounts. He often shared captivating footage of his daring feats on tall structures, capturing the breathtaking views from the top of skyscrapers in various locations worldwide.
Tributes have been pouring in on his final social media post, where he shared a photo of Hong Kong’s night view from Times Square in the Causeway Bay shopping district, on July 24th.
Supporters and followers expressed their grief over the loss of a fellow adventurer who had lived life to the fullest, embracing his passion for thrill-seeking. A follower posted: “Sad news no one ever wants to hear about a fellow explorer”. “Bro went out doing what he loved! He lived his life fully. Not many can say that”, another person wrote.
