As of April 2026, the scent has been added to the brand’s Eau Parfumée collection and is now available for purchase globally. For travellers familiar with the hotels, it offers a way to associate a physical product with a place they have visited.

The fragrance is described as a blend of citrus and softer, warmer notes. It combines lemon, mandarin and bergamot with tea extracts and musk. According to Bulgari, the composition is intended to feel light and fresh at first, before developing into a warmer base. What’s the message?

Those who pay close attention to our political leaders might be aware of the fact that President Emmanuel Macron usually doesn’t wear glasses. Yet at Davos, the French leader opted for a pair of blue aviator-style sunglasses, worn inside. A choice that didn’t go unnoticed and that went around the internet in a matter of minutes after his first appearance. And many have been wondering ever since why-oh-why he channelled his inner Top Gun vibes.

Was it just a way to stand out from the crowd? If so, he certainly succeeded, although his actual discourse got somewhat drowned during it all. Was it a way to avoid looking Donald Trump in the eye? With the U.S. President only arriving at Davos on Wednesday, 21 January, this would mean Macron made somewhat of a planning mistake. But what then?

Chances are, President Emmanuel Macron’s choice was fuelled by a minor medical issue. Indeed, he was first seen publicly wearing the glasses on 15 January 2015 in Istres (in the Bouches-du-Rhône department) during a military event. At that time, he excused himself for the unsightly appearance of his rather red-looking eye before donning his eyewear, calling it ‘totally benign’.

According to the French media, Macron is likely struggling with a sub-conjunctival haemorrhage, also known as a broken blood vessel in his eye, which could have been caused by something as simple as an intense cough or eye rubbing. Medical doctor and media commentator Jimmy Mohamed told French broadcaster RTL that the sunglasses won’t really protect Macron’s eye, however, identifying the choice as a public-image-protecting one.

Whatever caused President Emmanuel Macron to wear his glasses, one thing is certain: manufacturer Maison Henry Julien, located in the Jura department in eastern France, has experienced a stark rise in demand for the Pacific S 01 Double Gold sunglasses. The demand for the eyewear, costing €659,00, proved so big that the brand’s website had to be taken down. On 3 January 2026, mere hours after the capture of Nicolás Maduro by the US military in Caracas, a picture of the president aboard the US assault ship USS Iwo Jima made international headlines. While some chose to focus on the political reality at hand, others were struck by something else: Maduro’s outfit.

Instead of wearing a uniform or some other kind of clothing more appropriate for the occasion, the captured Venezuelan president was wearing a grey tracksuit. It didn’t take the internet long to figure out the brand of the athleisurewear either, thanks to the very recognisable Nike-logo on the garment.

The rise of one grey tracksuit

Once the brand and model of the tracksuit was known, Maduro was torpedoed into the role of a Nike ambassador, albeit it an unofficial one. The Heather Grey Nike Tech Fleece sported by the president sparked spike in searches for “Nike Tech” on Google, quickly hitting a 100-point peak on 4 January 2026. Instead of being mentioned in some 325 posts a day on X as before, Nike Tech hit over 5,000 daily posts between 3 and 5 January, according to data by PeakMetrics.

Since, the Heather Grey Nike Tech Fleece has sold out in almost every size on the brand’s US website, although most sizes are still available in Europe. Even though Nike must feel the direct economical interest of Maduro’s unexpected ambassadorship, the company has not reacted on the peak in sales at the moment of writing.

Aside from consumerism, the picture has also provided the internet with an easy target for irony and an endless source for memes. The slogan ‘Just Coup It’, as shared by some and being an obvious reference to Nike’s ‘Just Do It’, is maybe the most striking one.

While the photo shared by the US was meant to bear a political message, it also proved that pictures are being interpreted differently by all, some interpretations being maybe less relevant han others. In a world where consumerism stands in the centre of our society, the marketing power of one striking image proved to be overwhelming, although not entire out of context. Will the Nike tracksuit outlive the more pressing political issues on an international scale at stake? Only time will tell.

A luxurious collection

Now, that story is getting another chapter as princess Delphine teams up with the Antwerp-based Belgian jewellery label Baunat. The Eternal Blossom collection, as the collaboration is called, comes just in time for the festive season and was inspired by florals. Including two rings, two necklaces, a brooch, and a pair of earrings, the collection has something to offer to all jewellery fanatics.

“My new favourite themes are love and roses, and it is pure coincidence that Baunat has already worked with floral motifs for its jewellery. For me, the rose in particular represents passionate love, beauty, transformation, inner strength, but also secrecy. There are many symbols that represent me perfectly,” Princess Delphine said in an interview with the French newspaper Le Figaro.

The entire collection is handcrafted in Antwerp, the world’s diamond capital, and is made using white gold, palladium, and diamonds. The first eight versions of each piece will be numbered and signed by the artist herself, while extra editions will be more widely available.

“This is the first time I have collaborated with a jewellery brand. I deliberately chose Baunat because it is a Belgian company, but also because their craftsmanship is extraordinary. I feel the need to promote Belgian brands: Belgians are shy and modest and not really chauvinistic. Having grown up in a very patriotic country, this is something I miss”, the princess told  Le Figaro. As is to be expected of those high-end materials, the jewellery pieces come at a certain price. For a pendant, customers will have to pay €8,196, while the brooch amounts to €17,16

For a long time, Saudia has mainly been focusing on transporting religious pilgrims. But as Saudi Arabia, as a nation, has been looking to diversify its oil-focused economy – actively investing towards luxury tourism and grand scale events while aiming to welcome 150 million tourists per year by 2030 – its national airline too has been shifting its focus.

The changes at Saudia have been going on for a couple of years already. The Saudi government has hired a new commercial head and an executive from Qatar Airways, asked to change the overall passenger experience. New lounges were created, amenity kits were given a designer remodel, and a coffee cup collection inspired by the country’s different regions was launched.

Modern times, modern fashion

During Riyadh Fashion Week in October 2025, Saudia once again proved to be making profound changes to its cultural heritage during a show on the roof of the Kingdom Center Tower. The airline presented its own clothing brand called SV by Saudia, a name derived from the airline’s IATA code.

The brand’s first collection, Live to Fly, was designed by creative director Mohammed Khoja, founder of fashion label Hindamme. Throughout the clothing line, Khoja opted for a range of whites and greens to reflect the airline’s colour scheme. However, it was mainly the overall sporty-chic aesthetic – sporting bombers, polos, dresses, and more – that surprised due to its modern character, stepping away from the airline’s more traditional legacy.

“It’s been a great honour to collaborate with Saudia on the debut collection of this iconic fashion line. Working alongside Freebirds (a Saudi virtual creative agency) to bring SV by Saudia to life offered a unique experience to unite two worlds; the rich legacy of Saudia that we all grew up cherishing, and the nostalgia it represents to us as Saudis, reinterpreted through an innovative fashion medium”, Khoja said about the collection.

While prices for the collection have not yet been unveiled, the clothing line will be available through an online platform, and seasonal drops have already been announced.

Saudia is not the first airline to venture into fashion, nor is it the first to do so in the region. Previously, Emirates has already launched a luxury merchandise collection boasting luggage, towels, and more. Even though interpretations vary slightly depending on who’s giving the advise, the term usually refers to five tops, four bottoms, three pairs of shoes, two special outfits, and one set of accessories. Sticking to that list means travellers are less likely to carry around oversized checked bags, while keeping costs of extra weight to a minimum.

What to pack?

Visitors will not only be able to see the queen’s clothing and accessories but also never-before-seen design sketches, fabric samples, and hand-written notes. These items promise to reveal the behind-the-scenes effort of dressing the monarch and offer fresh insights into her personal role in its development.

Additionally, for the first time, the earliest surviving garments from the queen’s childhood wardrobe will go on display. For instance, guests would be able to see the silver lamé and tulle bridesmaid dress, crafted by Edward Molyneux, which she wore for the wedding of her uncle, the Duke of Kent, to Princess Marina of Greece, in 1934.

With the rise of British couture in the 1940s, Princess Elizabeth started working with Norman Hartnell. He became her primary designer for the next 30 years, solidifying his reputation as Britain’s top couturier by designing her 1947 wedding dress and 1953 Coronation dress, both of which will be exhibited.

The exhibition will feature gowns and dresses from the 1950s by Hartnell and Hardy Amies, alongside Ian Thomas’s distinctive, flowing printed dresses that embody the 1970s “boho glamour.” A significant number of these pieces are making their debut appearance.

A key highlight of the exhibition is expected to be a white gown designed by Hartnell for a 1961 state banquet in Karachi, Pakistan, which subtly integrated the country’s national colours. This will be just one example of how her wardrobe was curated for overseas engagement, demonstrating her approach to diplomatic dressing.

According to organizers of the show, Queen Elizabeth’s fashion archive stands out as one of the most significant surviving collections of 20^th-century British fashion. “This exhibition will be a celebration of Queen Elizabeth’s uniquely British style and her enduring fashion legacy,” said Caroline de Guitaut, exhibition curator and surveyor of The King’s Works of Art.

The exposition is set to run from spring to autumn 2026 but still doesn’t have exact dates. However, the Royal Collection announced that tickets will be available starting in November 2025. A companion book, priced at £40 (approximately €46), is set to be released by the Royal Collection Trust in March 2026.
